As the garden beds rest for the season, here is the winter homage to my favorite local organic food connection, the lovely Erica of B&H Organic Produce. I was tickled to capture this picture when by to pick up a later summer order. Most recently she was featured in the People Section of Berks Country, of the Reading Eagle. Check out the interview.
What feeds the soul, in the connection with Erica, is her passion for the produce and maintaining superior quality. To know her is to adore her. With her support we were garden to plate before it was a trend. Her produce really takes the stage at Papillon Brasserie, in West Reading. It is her cornerstone restaurant relationship and on their plates her garden gifts are glam.
I hope you take the opportunity to be a part of her CSA, come spring. You will be pleasantly surprised.
it should not without saying that just a few moments after I took this photo of farm kitty cat that he went off and caught a small bird to eat… that’s all I have to say about that. sorry small bird. it’s the circle of life, so I’m reminded.
