Click here to listen to the episode.
We’re talking wine. Oh, twist our arms and those bottle caps, it turns out! There is one man you must know. I’m serious. You want to be on the receiving end of his wine tip emails. Want the scoop on chairman’s select wines or need help paring for a party? John is your guy. We had him all to ourselves for this episode and got the scoop on what to be serving this Easter and why you should love screw top bottles.
John brought three wines that paired with the Phoebe’s Pure Food mantra, naturally grown (if not organic, sustainable) wines. Each was reasonably priced and one had a twist off cap Listen in to hear more about these wines. We talked about and tasted:
- Monastero Suore Cistercensi “Coenobium” 2011 ($27)
- Isabel Mondavi Napa Valley cabernet Sauvignon Rosé “Deep Rosé” 2013 ($15)
- Domaine de la Voute des Crozes Cote-de-brouilly 2011 ($20).
Be sure and request to be added to John’s bi-weekly email at jsuzadail@pa.gov. You won’t regret it.
OH! psst.. there is one wine John forgot to mention that I promised I’d shared… Ostertag Reisling. If he said we should consider it for our Easter dining, I’d be sure it was in my cart!
