A sweet summer morning at the Lititz Farm Market and if you have never been to quaint, downtown Lititz …booo… Yes, I said it. If you have the time you should squeeze in a visit your local food producers and shopkeepers. You won’t find fresher food made or grown with love than locally made goodies. Love putting a face with the food.
Today is Dan’s first craft/art show of the 2012 season. He participates in a small show here in the Lititz park and it is the first chance I have to visit the Lititz farm market. At he craft show, I found this great hand-made pillow. Creative use for a rug.
I go to this market and make a bee line for the Two Ladies Baking and if there is money left over then I spend with the rest of the vendors. These 2 chicks have the best, freshly baked bread and seriously you can’t find hand baked, artisan bread. period.
Dan enjoyed the Two Ladies Baking favorite chocolate chip cookies. He is chocolate chip cookie finicky.
After you have finished your farm market shopping and have tucked your goodies into the cooler mossy on out to Main Street to visit the local shops… there is the Chocolate Cafe, Zest and so much more. Many folks love to grab a nibble at the Tomato Pie Cafe (order the tomato pie… not the turkey sandwich) or Chocolate Cafe (uber sustainable and yum)
