We had a special guest in the recording studio this month. Wendy Jo Hess of Wendy Jo’s Homemade stopped by to share sweet stories. We talked about how her bakery business began, some of her favorite recipes and her client’s favorites. This link will take you right there.
By the way, she makes killer chocolate chip cookies! I buy them every year as a Christmas gift for Dan. I’m also fond of her goggly eyed cookies. Well, I’m nuts about them really but after the time we had to chat it up about all things sweet, my Wendy Jo’s Homemade shopping list just got a bit longer.
I blissfully blog about Lancaster Central Market, right here at Fig Lancaster. Lancaster Central Market is the country’s oldest publicly owned, continuously operated market and it’s a big year for market. I’m starting to capture some of the stories on audio. The tours and interviews are just as fun (Groff’s and Baking with Vasso).
Speaking of market, I found this on Facebook and I want to share it with you. Hope you enjoy, it’s beautifully done.
“Market really has a body and a soul, and this year we are really celebrating the building itself. It is 125 years old, and this ‘body’ has really stood the test of time, and so long as we take good care of it, it will be here forever.”
“Enjoy this short film about how much The Lancaster Central Market means to the entire community, and the place that this 125 year old Market House holds in all of our hearts.
Many thanks to the amazing filmmaker Andrea Campbell, Natural Light Films, for her dedication to our vision in creating such a beautiful tribute.”
