Dust off your heirloom collections this season and use your imagination to create a magical holiday table for a festive celebration with your loved ones. Use mix and match china, linens, silver, crystal and cut glass patterns as well as architectural, whimsical and natural elements to build your unique vision.
For this nature inspired winter dessert table we begin with our beautifully textured, hand-sewn doily table covering layered over a plush white chenille cloth.
We love the snowflake imagery this achieves for the table base. To continue our snowy landscape we add varied patterns of milk glass plating adorned with cut glass crystal icicles and star anise. The plating is wrapped in silver berry branch garlands and our silver flatware is embellished with lace wrapping, seed pods, and shimmery branches.
Silver sugar bowls make pretty dessert cups and add a touch of unexpected whimsy. For our hand-crafted centerpiece we fill a conical shaped wire cloche with pinecones from the forest and top it with an oft used star cookie cutter passed down from Grandma.
We stack vintage tin pie pans and tarnished silver to use as cake stands, playfully repeating the tree shape on the table.
Our brilliant blue glass collection paints the sky in this winter wonderland and serves as dessert vessels and candleholders.
The mantle features a fabulous salvaged Gothic arch window flanked by warm candlelight displayed in milk glass vessels of various sizes, shapes and textures. Floral elements of dried hydrangea and wildflowers complement the wood tones and pinecones on the table and chairs.
Add your favorite desserts to share with family and friends for a winter’s eve sweet feast to long remember.
