In my head I’m singing praises to myself for thinking of this because it’s so exciting AND just saved myself a whole lotta hassle. Sowing seeds is just a muddy, dirty, sweaty mess. Wearing gloves never helps.
When I get to the point that the ground is prepped and the seeds are ready to go in the ground my hands and gloves are a mess…they stick to my dirty fingers. When I open the packets and put them in a small soufflé dish, to sprinkle, they never spread easily…
then it came to me last night! insert gigantic light bulb here…
btw, if you know me you know I’m just talking smack about singing praises to myself… I’m sure other cleaver gardeners came up with this already I’m just the slow one who finally got it… If you don’t know then continue in your assumption that I bask in my own glory all the time.
Back to the story…
Insert drum roll…I put the seeds in a spice shaker. duh, right? No messy, muddy hands. No spreading in clumps. It was an even spread and easy. No messing with cutting or tearing the seed pouch.
That’s my lightbulb moment. 🙂 tada… I may often be as dumb as a rock but today I got one over on it!
