Is it weird to say had a great time at a raw food potluck? A great time could be drinks on the patio with some girlfriends, chillin’ on a beach reading a book far away from responsibility (I mean aside from the responsibility of good hygiene) or just singing aloud with the windows rolled down and a cool breeze whipping my hair around…. tonight was a great time.
Love how people can connect over food. Great spread and met new folks. Not to mention, we stopped at Olio Olive Oil in Lititz. They are new on the block. Located where Aaron Books used to be. Don’t sweat it, Aaron just moved down the block. Be sure to make Olio a stop on your visit to Lititz. They carry international and domestic olive oil and an amazing array of vinegar. I settled on the white balsamic… sweetly aged.
oooo…could you pick just one flavor? vanilla made with Madagascar vanilla beans, fig, pomegranate… The selection of olive oils were just as varied. I settled on a meyer lemon infused olive oil and white balsamic. Now, what to make?
They little shop also had a large selection of salts. What a unique gift idea for a hostess this summer. The shop owner suggested a use for the meyer lemon olive oil as a topping for vanilla ice cream with a pinch of salt.
I’ll let the photos speak for themselves of the abundance in our raw food dinner. Dinner was followed by a summary of one gal’s visit to the Vegetarian Summerfest 2012 and all she learned from different lecturers & classes.
I brought 2 items and drove 2 gals 🙂
