I am in love with this time of year. perfect temps, cool nights, warm sunshine, the dampness in the air that carries the scent of roses and lavender… this time of year is just the reason why scented garden gems are planted near the windows…to catch their scent on the breeze
Heading our to the car I am welcomed by the sound of bees a buzzin’ around the lavender & lilies. As a bonus today, when pulling out of the long driveway at GGS Tea Room I spotted a blue bird (not a blue jay). so excited. it was only the second time I have spotted one of those sapphire beauties in this area.
Soup this week was pretty in pink chilled strawberry with a hint of mint and ginger, drizzled with agave.
Salad … Jack and the bean salad … local B & H Organic Produce’s mixed greens, local, organic pasture roaming happy chicken from Shollenberger Organic Farms, local snap peas, local peas & herbs.
Pick up at Field’s & French Hens this weekend… my healthy version of spanakopita. Organic, local egg whites (Shollenberger) are the base with only 180 calories per slice!
