Makes a little over a cup, equivalent to one can of condensed soup
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup low-fat milk
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter then add the flour. Stir until the mixture thickens.
  2. Gradually add the milk, stirring to thicken. When thickened and smooth remove from heat.
