summertime berry lemonade
There are so many fun ways you can experiment with this basic recipe: Use limes instead of lemons. Substitute a cup or two of water (in step 3) with flavored sparkling water, or add a splash of triple sec or ginger liquor.   For a hint of fresh herbs, add a handful to the simple syrup when it begins cooling. Strain before adding to the lemonade. Lavender, mint or thyme would all be lovely with berries.
