Ingredients
  • Dry ingredients
  • 3 cups (13 ounces) all-purpose flour
  • 1¾ cups sugar
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Wet Ingredients
  • ½ cup vegetable oil or melted coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 cup strong coffee
Instructions
  1. Sift the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl; set aside. In a small mixing bowl, whisk the wet ingredients.
  2. Add the wet to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter will be thin.
  3. Pour into a 9” x 13” baking pan prepared with cooking spray. Bake in a preheated 350ºF oven for 40-45 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool completely.
  4. Using a straw, poke 12 holes in the cake. Pour the cooled Chocolate Syrup over the cake. When the syrup has been absorbed, spread with Creamy Peanut Butter Frosting.
