It was a beautiful night and the setting was perfect, the garden of Just Curious Gifts, Antiques, and Garden Design.
The theme was a cocktail style dinner. The menu is seen here with a focus on local & seasonal sweet & savory delights. Nosh for every eater was offered… vegan, vegetarian and gf. The cheese platter was a variety of local cheese from the Wonderful Good Market & apple schnitz. On another platter, local pears with blue cheese and a drizzle of local honey.
A glorious local, artisan bread basket with some baked goods from the ovens of the Wonderful Good Market.
Spiced eggplant chutney with zucchini parm cakes served buffet style with chevre and fig preserves for a make your own crostini.
A seasonal favorite is my french onion and apple soup, fresh crudites platter with spicy dhal dip/spread and a savory pea dip with toasted almonds.
local, fresh figs with goat cheese, cheese straws and …. (my fav) the beet, baby beluga & balsamic salad with garden fresh thyme and feta
garden fresh frittata, Mediterranean chicken salad, coconut curried chickenballs, ricotta with brandied cherries, ooohhh and the pretty (and tasty) tomato tartlets, and mushroom pate.
iphone, late night photo of one of the desserts… plum tart with lightly sweetened vanilla bean marscapone
special thanks to the photographer and candle lighter of the evening… splendid, CK!
