“the essence of who we are is not the sum of the roles we play (parent, what’s on our business card) it is not what we have…yoga, in the stillness, reminds you of the essence of who we are … What we do in life matters…” Pam of Shri Yoga and Wellness Center …wonderful soirée tonight! Pam answered some of the most prevalent yoga questions that folks have about the practice of yoga, what are the health benefits and does it conflict with one’s religion.
What if you are not flexible enough to do some of the poses? What style should you select? You can read more about Pam and what her studio has to offer to meet your needs in the recent issue of Fitness Berks (pg 14).
Here were the 2 favorite recipes for the night.
Coconut Curry Rice from Robin Robertson’s cookbook “Vegan on the Cheap“
This recipe is from her cookbook so I am not going to post it, I don’t have her permission, but click here for some sample recipes from that cookbook. the Coconut Curry Rice was rather amazing…well, you should have been there and you could have tasted it for yourself.

Hey Phoebe…..nice blog. I read through a bunch of recipes and posts….everything looks yummy.
I don’t think that we talked about food at all when we met at Harmony yesterday, but maybe that is a good thing! I occasionally put a cooking post up on my blog. I have a 90% finished one on making caramel. Maybe I will finally post it 🙂
I was very nice to meet you by the way. Enjoy today’s dusting of snow 😉
