Join us on September 13th at SHRI Yoga & Wellness Center at 1015 Penn Ave, Wyomissing. The master plan is to gather on a the 2nd Friday of each month to nosh and feel nourished while learning a thing or two from special guest speakers.
What follows is the scoop…and as you read the food rules know that you should skip processed foods. No tofurkey, white sugars/flours, pasta of any kind or processed foods. Think RAW foods but we welcome vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.

Dr. Aparna Mele will be speaking about your gut health.
Digestive issues are a hot topic and we will be all over it at this month’s soirée.
Dr. Aparna Mele is a gastroenterologist with Digestive Disease Associates practicing in Berks County since 2008.
She has a particular interest in community health awareness and education and is organizing a local health expo in 2014, targeting gut health.

OH before I forget…here are the sweet and savory recipes that were voted the favorites from last month!
The large recipe is for what was a raw food “pasta salad” and the peach ice cream.
The other favorite for the night was the team effort of 2 gals called Spinach-Feta Quinoa Cakes with Lemon Dill-Yogurt Sauce. Here is the link to the recipe. I suggest you check out the site titled PaniniHappy.com the author shares loads of recipes to use on your panini press! Very clever.
